First project today is a completed project.  I made the Double Irish Chain quilt top several years ago while I was staying at Karen's.  We worked together to make this.  I had purchased a precut kit (strips with pattern) from e-Bay several years before that.  I probably had the kit for 6-7 years before sewing and had the top made for 4-5 years before I finally decided to quilt it last month.  I machine quilted it with a meandering loop design on Mom's long arm quilting machine.  It really did not take too long and it turned out great.  The quilt is completed with binding and all.  I even hand stitched the binding down.Another project that I have been working on in between other things has been the embroidered flowers. In an earlier post I showed two flowers done. I now have the other 4 flowers embroidered. I am so excited to have these done and to put this wall hanging together and hand quilt it.

This past week I have been working on Baby Broeckelman quilt. Karen helped me pick fabrics and work up the appliques. I have the top completed and will get it put together and quilted once I return to the farm next week. No pictures of it yet as I have not given them the gift. You will have to hold on and let the suspense build for a little bit. I promise pictures soon of this special baby quilt.
Now I am helping Karen with applique on a quilt that she made when in North Dakota sewing with a friend earlier in June. We are having fun but I will need to go home soon.
